Material improvement

Structure optimization

Improvement of anti-collision grade: the upgraded guardrail of Wenzhou section of Zhejiang Zhunyong Expressway reaches the high standard of SS grade, which significantly improves the anti-collision ability and anti-overturning ability, effectively prevents large vehicles from crossing the guardrail, and reduces the probability of occurrence of vicious traffic accidents.

Innovative structural design: for example, in view of the narrower width of the base of the bridge in the Shaoxing section of Zhunyong Expressway, the “weak foundation beam post type guardrail” with a width of only 35 cm and a protection level of SS grade has been developed, which is even narrower and will not aggravate the force on the weak parts of the bridge flange plate, and has a higher protection capacity, and is also convenient for construction.

Intelligent monitoring

Installation of sensors: Sensors are embedded in the guardrail panels to monitor the status of the guardrail in real time, such as the degree of impact, location and other information, and transmit the data to the management department, so as to detect the problem in time and carry out repair or replacement.

Combination of Internet of Things (IoT) technology: Integrate the guardrail information of each road section through IoT to realize remote monitoring and management of highway guardrail and improve management efficiency and timeliness.

Improvement of installation technology: adopting guardrail plate installation robot and other equipment to improve installation efficiency and quality, and reduce labor cost and labor intensity. For example, the guardrail plate installation robot used in the Shuyang-Suyu section of the Lianshu Expressway, which used to require 8 workers to work together and take about 1 minute to install a plate, can be completed by only 3 workers after the robot has been “put on duty”, thus reducing the overall labor cost by half, and improving the installation efficiency, quality and safety. The overall labor cost is reduced by half, and the efficiency, quality and safety of installation are also effectively improved.
